Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for your age, gender, general health, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the term length you prefer. Those six facts are enough to return rates. Your name, address, and full health history are only requested if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes for the health classification you selected. The final price is determined by the carrier's underwriting after you apply, which may confirm, improve, or change your class. Nothing here is an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any specific rate.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name and the application is created from the exact quote you selected. It continues on the carrier's secure application platform where you can pause and resume as needed. Signing is done electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount, and your health answers. Many carriers now offer fast underwriting with no exam for eligible applicants. Each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term covers the years when your family would struggle financially if you died—a mortgage, children at home, business obligations. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms at one time.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect your contact information, we do not sell or share visitor information, and our measurement does not use cookies. See the privacy page for the complete list of what is collected and who has access.
